Physical World is Good
There are a lot of tendencies in the church which devalue the physical world. These tendencies are not found in the bible. The physical world is an inherently good thing. God created the earth and everything in it and declared that it was good. We will have physical bodies in heaven. Paul tells us that when we die we will urn to be reunited with our bodies. Jesus took on a physical body which he took with him into heaven. I find a devaluing of the physical world goes hand in hand with a devaluing of work. Adam and Eve (pre-fall) were given the task of working in the Garden. Work is essencally good. Our work has been made difficult and tiresome by our disobedience, but that does not change it's value.
